Stand alone electronic systems include
- Proximity - Just present a card or pendent to open a door
- Key Pad – enter a generic or individual code to open a door
- Biometric – place your finger or thumb to open the door
- Swipe card – enter your card into the lock or reader to open a door

Lockwood, Borg, carbine entry via a mechanical code pad lock – enter your code manually; turn a knob to unlock the door.
